Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Samir Pillai @samirpillaithephotographer

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello, I am Samir Pillai from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. I am 21 years old currently pursing my masters of business administration(MBA). I am passionate about photography ever since my childhood I used to like to play with camera’s which fascinated me a lot to capture in memories and moments through my creative eyes. I started my journey with normal roll camera to the advance SLR Camera and Further upgrade towards DSLR as the generation adaptation.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love to capture portraits, my friends call me the portrait master! P.S Not boosting my self 🙂 . I also like to capture street, nature as well as heritage monuments.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Instagram name was sudden… I wanted a unique name and here it is "Samirpillaithephotographer" I always loved people admire me with the tag "photographer" it always helped me to boost my confidence and when there were hard times the tag helped me over come the problems and always supported me and motivated me to work harder for the community and for my self.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use normal basic instagram edits, vsco and lightroom. I believe in capturing perfect and use less of editing and keep it much more natural and realistic. But we know humans are not perfect.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I like various instagrammers from various segment . The list is long … I admire respect everyone everyone is special and one of kind unique.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

You need to try out how well are you communicating with the followers and the main element should be "connect" that you create between you and your followers. If there is lack of connection between you and followers there is possibility of going off track very soon

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I would love to collaborate with the brand and work with them helping them out with the honest review and the best review which I can provide. This will help both the company and the customers to understand more and much more detail about the product and further they can take decision to buy or not. Also brand would be aware of improving and providing the best through the product. I think I am the link between the brand and customer. As a Influencer I have huge responsibility at my back end.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Do not think an influencer is being paid, and hes further expected to give a "positive review" . It never happens you should understand one fact the customers/followers needs to know the true facts about the product its pros and cons.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and Original Content is an integral part and essential area where an influencer needs to take care. The trust is the key criteria, you can cheat your followers as well as the brand.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I feel like its a privilege
