Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Samantha @sn0ok

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’ve recently moved back to South Carolina, where I’ve lived most of my life. I’m close to my family again, and I love it here. Right now, I work part time as a caretaker, but I spend most of my time trying to build up my Instagram!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love makeup and anything to do with the beauty industry. On Instagram, I try to keep my feed nice looking so I don’t crowd it with a million selfies. But I try to post new makeup looks daily!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My last name is Snook, people called me it as a nickname while growing up.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The main app I use to edit my photos is Snapseed, it’s my favorite. I also sometimes edit with Picsart, Layout, and the built in Instagram editing tools.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

My absolute favorite person on Instagram is Eleanor, her instagram account is @snitchery. She is so talented.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Buy yourself a wig, I’ve just recently gotten my first three and I’m obsessed. It’s so fun changing up your looks everyday.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

So many things. I love my followers, they’re so sweet and leave me the nicest comments. I also love when brands reach out to me and I’m able to try out new products!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Either keep it simple, or make it interesting. I’ve noticed that followers don’t engage as much when our captions for promoted posts are exaggerated or too “commercial” like. Captions that are simple are nice, because they’re short, sweet, and down to the point. Or captions that have a story are more interesting to read.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Very important! No one likes to have their hard work copied, the least you could do is give the person who inspired you some credit. Quality is so important because it’s pleasing to the eye.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love having the opportunities to try out new products and making some extra money is always a nice bonus. Also, when I have discount codes for super great products, I’m so happy to share them with my followers. Everyone loves a good bargain!
