1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I’m a 21 years old earthling living in the heartland of Central Europe, in Hungary. Currently I’m an undergraduate of English studies, aspiring to become a qualified translator after my masters degree.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
Besides my love for languages, culture and literature, I’m in a passionate relationship with my kitchen – cooking and baking also. I’ve been creating food related content for over 3 years now, roughly since my first day on Instagram. Since then a lot more has evolved than just the quality of my pictures: I’ve worked out a more or less consistent schedule and stlye, also made a slow transition from an indulgent “food pornist” to a strict clean eater and constant dieter to a balanced vegan. For the last couple of months I’m also experimenting with ways to incorporate important messages and lifestyle tips to my posts.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
It was a summer evening when my cousin and I were hanging out in our garden, catching up with each other’s life. Somehow we came to the topic of current trends and she mentioned this new app just gaining popularity around here called Instagram. At that point I had been making pictures for years already, only was too shy to present them anywhere, so it seemed like a grate platform to present my “works” for a foreign, unknown audience. We download the app and started thinking of names. “Vintage” was an overtly popular word back then – used for anything and everything – and we used it as a joke all the time so it there came the first part, and “Unikornis” is just the Hungarian equivalent of “unicorn”, because I was – maybe still are – obsessed with those magical, beautiful creatures.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
The apps I use to edit my photos are always the same: Perfectly Clear, Snapseed and Photoshop; all three of them in that exact order.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
My biggest inspirations are all relatively smaller profiles, mainly people who provide something more beyond the pretty bowls foods and recipes. I love feeds that are telling a story, with long and/or inspiring captions and when the pictures are reflecting the person behind the food in some way. Some of them are : @yolcsita_eats , @dorkaland , @noraspiration , @vegan_vamp , @plantbased.claire , @dacapofitness and many more!
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Regarding technicalities I would absolutely encourage everyone to try out the app Snapseed. It’s an easy-to-use photo editor tool with a whole array of amazing functions.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
The positive feedback, definitely.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Great questions, but I don’t yet have a great insight into the world of marketing and sponsored content.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
“Quality over quantity” is definitely something I would put at the very beginning of my Top 10 Tips for a Successful Instagram Profile list if I’d have one. Besides being open and staying in touch with your followers it’s really important to provide a content you could be proud of and wholeheartedly call Yours.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
At this point I’ve never had any sponsored content/collaboration with brands.
