Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Peter Felton @peterrrpan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi my name is Peter Felton I’m from Los Banos California but I’m now living in San Diego and i plan to be a professional freelance photographer. It may sound stupid but im the only one out of my friends not going to college in order to just to photography, not even in an art school for photography. For now im following up on interviews for jobs to save up for better photography gear. After I have the photography gear I want and need I plan to roadtrip around the US just travelling, learning, and taking pictures. I’m also helping out my best friend, Kevin, make music; it’s his passion and i know he needs me to keep pushing him. Kevin and I have always been the artsy ones at school so we just basically push each other to never give up. We also do plan to make a clothing brand in the future. Kevin and I just want to show our love for photography, music, traveling, and fashion.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I actually keep deleting my photos, im trying to show off my style a bit more but i mostly post pictures of my friends, memories, and landscapes. It’s what I love to shoot.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

To be honest im not really comfortable with my instragam username i do plan to change it. The only reason I do keep it is because i’ve always wanted to be like the Disney character Peter Pan, he travels, flys everywhere with his friends, and forever young! haha.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Vscocam and picsart. Yeah it’s embarrassing saying that I use these apps because they aren’t photoshop or lightroom. I use them because they’re just simply way easier to use and free!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@chriscreature , it’s amazing finding a really talented photographer that has somewhat the same style or same approach to photography that you do. It’s great to have someone like this around, with this guy i wouldn’t have been pushing myself to keep working on my own style.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think my fellow instagrammers gotta remember that instagram isn’t much. Just because someone as a ton of followers doesn’t mean they’re better, don’t let that stop you. There are too many unsung heroes out there on instagram that give up just because of a number value on an app called “followers”.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The word influencer, changing peoples’ lives and inspiring them to create and do amazing things. Just the thought to be the cause of someone’s inspiration is pretty breath taking if you ask me.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I feel like the brands themselves should get more in touch with fans however it does sound bad when you put it as “let’s make something that the fans love not what i truly want” so therefore I don’t think i have any tips to brands on campaigns but only to never give up on what they truly love and what they think is best.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I lost myself in photography… but in a bad way… It’s super amazing to see different styles of work from crazy talented people. It’s also scary seeing all kinds of talent and not wanting to take pictures a certain way someone else does. I’ve recently began to notice my old work and how much i’ve changed because of trying to do something different just because I wasn’t confident with my own style. This only brought confusion to me and struggle but i’ve recently and luckily broke this pattern and happily “found myself” again. Originality is where it’s at.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

So far it’s been really great i love the amazing support StarNgage has given me, to be honest i haven’t recieved this much support from anyone before and i’m just so grateful StarNgage came across me.
