Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Pepz @Pepz_javier

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an artist and entrepreneur. I am currently working on two EPs, dancing professionally, writing my book and on the verge of launching my podcast. I am based out of LA but am originally from the Dominican Republic but grew up between RI and NYC

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Music, dance, film, entrepreneurism, fashion and motivation. I post about my life, who I am, what I love, how I want to help the world, music, entertainment and fashion, and what inspires me.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s my nickname given to me by an ex who thought my old cologne smelled like pepper. Know that name has overshadowed my real name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Rarely edit my pictures.. Lately have only been framing them through Phonto to have a clean visual profile.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Millionaire mentor, Rihanna, luxury living, dani johnson, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, menwithstreetstyle, desnudomagazine, sarcasmonly, and Before5AM

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If it’s outside of Instagram. Red velvet cake topped with raspberry dark chocolate ice scream.

On Instagram: creating a layout or visual theme to better market your brand.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with others I would have never otherwise connnected with. Sharing ideas, discovering common passions, learning about other’s lifestyles, interests, and desires.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Learn who you are and what you want to represent. Study similar brands, whether they are competition or inspiration and see what you like, what you dislike, what you could use and flip to make your own.

To maintain your authenticity you need to know that you can stand behind all of your posts, your words, and your brand without questions. If you question your work, that’s a warning sign that you aren’t being true to you.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

In this day and age there’s so much similarity and shared ideas, that originality is important. But originality can be just who you are and why you do what you do, not only limited to what you do.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Determining how we can all win together by learning about how we can all help each other win by learning about each other and what we might be able to create together.
