Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: PAWAN ISHWAR @knightsandlords

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Knights & Lords was born out of the passion of two Bespoke Tailors, Pawan & Ashish (pictured right). They spent 5 & 7 years respectively learning the traditional craft of Bespoke tailoring from Savile Row-London, a place that is considered to be the spiritual home of Bespoke Tailors even today. Knights & Lords was formed in 2010 to remind todays decision makers of the importance of having Gentlemenly attributes and preserving the traditions left behind by the nobles of the yesteryear. It is for those who wish to preserve the supreme culture of being a true Gentleman who alongside doing justice to his true life purpose also considers his duty and responsibility to dress like who he wants to be. Pawan & Ashish strive to open people’s sesibilities to The Eye of Bespoke by writing in various publications such as the Debonair about the craft of Bespoke Tailoring. They have also been featured in The Rake, Signe, Esquire and Friday magazine amongst others as Bespoke tailors who are true to their craft. They wish to bring a wave in The New Bespoke Movement by making sure a Bespoke Suit is something that can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone and not something that is out of reach for the masses. It is for this reason they decided to have their flagship tailoring house in Dubai, a place which has an innate sense of longing to be the best in everything it does. It is a movement that is completely in line with the Bespoke philosophy, which is to evolve with continuous improvement. They plan to revive the Bespoke culture here in Dubai in a manner that will be an integral part of its history in the future.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

We post everything that is relevant to Gentlemen being sublime and reaching their full potential by gaining the knowledge of the different forms of craftsmanship, dressing etiquette and lifestyle qualities one should have to arrive at your destined door of unknown pleasures of being a true Gentleman.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is based on our tailoring house which is Knights & Lords. It is to remind the Gentlemen that nobility does not mean superiority as was the case in yesteryears. True nobility lies in constantly trying to be better than your former self. It is this quality alone that will propel you to become no less than the Royal Elite of the world.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Our photo editing routine is no routine at all. We post as it is in its natural state with no special editing software or filters.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

The one that stands tall amongst the rest for us is @christopherkorey. He embodies all the qualities of being a true Gentleman right from his quotes to the way he dresses.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just try being your true self.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The actual ability to reach out to thousands and influence them to become a better version of themselves.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Try to bring out what goes behind the scenes of bringing your fine products into existance. You will be suprised that people take the the pleasure of using a product and value it only when the know the entire story of how its been crafted and what its creators went through to bring it to you.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Post only when you feel like pksting and what is relevant to you. Chances are if it doesn’t relate to you, it won’t relate to others so be real.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

To be able to tell their story through the eyes of an end user.
