Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Paula Kowalska @Prxncesspaula

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an adventurous sixth form student that enjoys travelling, fashion and music. I’m usually found at a gig or visiting new places and I’m passionate about fashion and beauty as well. I come from Poland but I live in England now, in the midlands, however I do travel a lot across the country when I can.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mostly post about gigs that I go to and my outfits that I wear on a day to day basis. I don’t have a set theme to my Instagram as I’m very busy and my multiple interests seem to mesh quite well together to create my online persona. If you look on my Instagram, you will see that music and fashion and beauty are most prominent features of my life.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted something that involved my name as well as something that describes me so that people would always relate it to me. I’ve always been told I’m a princess and I feel like that label has just stuck with me so when I was picking out a username, I knew that prxncesspaula would eventually become my brand (and the x instead of an I makes it more interesting I feel).

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Depending on the quality of the photos! Sometimes I will just post it and just leave it at that but sometimes I’ll find an amazing filter that I feel like I need to try so I use VSCO cam to apply it and then mess around with the exposure, saturation etc to make all my photos consistent. I feel like sometimes I prefer photos without all the filters and airbrushing as it makes it more natural and believable for my followers so that they can be inspired by something that is naturally achievable and is authentic.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love @humxn_ ! Her feed is so so pretty and her fitness page is really inspiring, it’s actually motivated me to try and get into shape and look after my body properly. There’s a lot of other instagrammers I love but my list would be way too long if I credited them all!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Gerard Cosmetics! They are absolutely amazing and their hydra matte liquid lipsticks are to die for, I never leave the house without it!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to show people products that I enjoy using and how I incorporate them into my daily life. I want to keep building my brand so that I can give people more inspiration and show them that having a desirable life is actually very easy and can be done without all the Instagram fake-ness.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I like to just try the products and add them into as many posts that I have without looking too fake. For example, if I get a bag, I like to include it into as many travel shots or outfit shots, same with clothes and jewellery. I don’t make it obvious that it’s a promotion photo, I try and make it as current and consistent as I can with my current feed.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It’s very hard in this day and age to keep true to yourself and post things that are only relevant to you. I’d say that you need to make sure you are posting things that you truly believe in and can get behind and know that your followers will want at the end of the day. You don’t want to post something that is irrelevant to you because eventually people will catch on that it’s not authentic and they’ll decide to make the judgement that your brand is fake and it can end up hurting your following.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the fact that I can help them get exposure as well as allowing me to try out lots of new products that I will be able to use all the time and share with my followers.
