Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Patricia Villamar @viiiamar

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am originally from the Philippines and grew up in Ireland. I am curently an Interior Architecture student who is very passionate about exploring different countries and culture – architecture and local cuisines.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am interested in travelling and food. I post my travel diaries and food adventures. Sometimes I recommend and feature newly opened restaurants and cafes.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is based on my Spanish surname which means “Sea Villa”.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Instagram has very editing features but sometimes I use Afterlight or Vscocam to enhance the quality of the picture.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Aimme Song – she’s an interior designer and a fashionista. I admire her very much and aspire to be someone like her in the future..

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I have to say L’occitane’s cooling hand gel cream. It’s perfect for those hot summer days where you need a boost of freshness. Not only it leaves your skin as soft as a baby’s bottom but the scent is incredible and definitely cooling.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I am able to meet new people from different parts of the world and help them with their enquries or recommend products and places that would be a help to them.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My top tip is understanding your audience. It is very easy to get lost in an era where everything is out in the open with people who can express their feelings easily and influence others. To maintain authenticity you have to know yourself – experiment until you know what works for you and don’t be afraid to be different. So not conform to trends, stand out.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality that meets the audience’s expectations maintains their loyalty and trusts in brands. Quality and original content entices different types of people. They always look for consistency.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to learn more about different products or even fall in love with them even more.
