Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Paolo Coda @paolocoda

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a photographer born in Perú. After living most of my life in Cusco, at 21 years old, I decided to go out and see the world so I moved to Italy and I’ve been living here for a year now. Perú is so beautiful and full of enchantment as Italy is.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I like to post travel and fashion photography. I love architecture and I post my favorite shots from every city I visit but I like to show my looks and my style as well. When I get to show architecture and fashion in the same photo it’s pure bliss to me!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I realized I have short name which is easy to remember so I decided to stay simple and just put my real name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Lightroom and photoshop are the apps I use to edit all of my photos. Sometimes I feel like editing something just minutes before posting a photo and I’ll use VSCO or the Snapseed app to add the final touches.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love Toni Mahfud photos as I find them artistic and true to his style. I also like thererumnatura and samkolder photos, which are more into the travel niche. I get inspired from all of them!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Definitely collaborations!! I feel like a lot of instagrammers are afraid to go and start collaborating with brands and other instagrammers but I believe it’s a source of inspiration and new ideas! You can get so much creativity when you’re trying to create a post for a certain brand.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Although I don’t consider myself an influencer (it’s a huge word), I feel fulfilled when people take their time to write me and tell me they like my photos. I also love when my followers send me their own shots to ask for advice or if they have doubts about them. I always end up learning something new even from the most amateur photographers!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Stay true to your style! If an instagrammer publicizes a product that he wouldn’t use or doesn’t trust their followers will know! It’s important to choose an influencer that matches with the style of your product

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I believe originality is the most important thing on Instagram! Nobody wants to see the same pictures all over Instagram, think outside the box and create original content true to your style, something that people can see and immediately recognize it’s yours! The same goes for quality, put your heart in every post you make, work on the details!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The creative process and the chance to show your followers a product you believe in and you like. And also the bond you create with the brand after a partnership!
