Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Padya Paramita @doughntstopmenow

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently entering my senior year at Wellesley College. I come from Bangladesh, but I live near Boston. I am a writer, extremely passionate about food and intersectional identity.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

While my topics of interest range from food to television to sports, I post about food the most on my influencer Instagram!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen is one of my favorite song, and I thought it would be really punny/funny to make it “dough” as a tribute to one of the essentials of many of my favorite food!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO, Rookie, and of course, Instagram’s editing tools

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

The Instagrammer imdatingfood inspires me a lot! I read her blog religiously. I also follow a lot of Boston based food instagrams.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Take risks. Invest. It will pay off.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

When someone I barely know comes up to me and appreciates my work! It really makes everything worth it!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think brands should look for genuineness and not overlook the smallest of influencers. Everyone has a story to tell. I maintain authenticity by checking in with my followers once in a while whether I have consistently held onto my roots and the reasons they followed me in the first place.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think chasing after what you think is worthwhile and important is the key. Don’t go after something that everyone is chasing, just for the sake of it. No amount of content is bad or too little.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like that I get to see the people within the brands as individuals and not a big company. They are mostly really humble and kind, and I love to get to know passionate content creators.
