Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ollie Campbell @OCFootball_29

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m originally from Cheltenham, England but I have grown up in Scotland, being a passionate footballer and photographer, immersing myself in taking the best shots for my instagram page.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My posts currently vary between streetwear and hypebeast related items and football boots. I’m really interested in both and want to engage with a new audience, hence I have branched out.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

OC stands for Ollie Campbell, Football is quite clear, and 29 has always been my favourite number so it made sense for that to be my username.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use lightroom for almost every picture and have created my own various presets which I add to enhance the quality of my shots.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@bxnmxclean – hopefully I’ll be able to shoot with him soon. His work is simply unreal and he’s a huge inspiration to me. It would be an honour to shoot with him.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Concave Football’s new Halo+ boots! Shameless bit of promotion but who knows? Maybe you guys have a football lover at your office.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

It gives me an opportunity to shoot and work with products that I genuinely want and like, that I previously would not have had.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I only ever promote products I actually feel work well. I have previously been sent a pair of boots that were blatant knock-offs of Nike’s latest boots, and I was sure to mention that. I took no payment and the boots have not been featured since.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Keep your content varied in its matter but consistent in the upload times and quality. I try to maintain a standard for all of my shots and if the image doesn’t make the grade, it doesn’t make my page.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the idea of helping brands out whilst benefiting myself. It’s awesome to be able to get home and think, ‘Yeah, I need to shoot those today.’ It’s really enjoyable and it keeps me passionate about photography, football boots and streetwear.
