Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Natasha Kissaun @Natashakissaun

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m 21 years old and I’m a full time psychology student. I also have a blog and a YouTube channel where I post every week. On both my YouTube channel and my blog I post about mainly skin care products but I always take requests for other videos. However, I have moved away from my blog and I’ve recently started posting about my life. I am originally from Malta which is in the Mediterranean Sea but I live in Singapore where I met my fiancée.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are mainly beauty related mainly skin care and hair care. I mainly use my Instagram account to post life events so that I can look back on memories. I occasionally post about products that I really enjoy or if a clients specifically asks me to. I try to be as creative as possible with my pictures so that they are visually appealing.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name is just my full name. I wanted it to have my name because I believe I have a unique last name and I also think it’s easier for people to find my account if they wish to follow me or see any of my pictures.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

If I’m being quite honest I don’t really edit my pictures because I like the authenticity of natural photos. However, I do like to add a white border around my pictures and I use an app called whiteagaram to do this.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

One instagrammer that inspires me the most is “deaddsouls.” I love how all her pictures look crisp and she’s very creative and original.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think it would be to take memorable photos and not think about how many likes they get. To me, Instagram is like an album for memories but too many people are focused on how popular they are.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part about being an influencer is being able to reach out to people who feel like they have nowhere else to go. I want my platforms to be an safe haven for them whenever they’re feeling down and maybe learn some things along the way.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think the biggest tip I can give, which probably seems quite obvious, is to always stick to the mission statement of the company. I encourage brands to do what they want and not what everyone is doing just for the money. Even though there’s a lot of competition out there, I’m sure customers will appreciate uniqueness and quality of quantity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think quality of the product should be a given. If you’re going to do something then you should always put in 100% effort. Customers and clients appreciate quality and it does not look good for the company if a lot people are complaining about quality for the price that they paid. Originality will always give a company a competitive edge. As humans, we tire of things very easily and we are always looking for something new. Always be the one to beat the competitors to the punch.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love how it gives influencers a chance to do what they love and reach out to people who feel like they’ve hit a dead end. I want to be that person who can give people more options.
