Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mohamed Amirullah Hidayatulla @spec.chroma

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently a university student majoring in marketing. I love taking pictures and the most fun I have is when I take time and edit my pictures.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Most of the time I post pictures that I deem to be creative and original. I love all things tech and photography.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

spec.chroma is a combination of spectrum, meaning wide array and chroma meaning very colorful in its own way. I tend to post pictures that seems to over exaggerate the situation

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

For my personal account, I use mobile Lightroom, Enlight app, and Over app to edit my pictures. For this current photography account, I use desktop Lightroom

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love the works of Davidwallaceshoots, Sammiswar and Chase Jarvais

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Upload higher quality pictures. Refrain from uploading blurry pictures and using mainly monochrome kind of edits on their feed. The novelty dries out really fast.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Currently I didn’t do any brand affiliations but I love seeing people getting inspired by my work and contacting me of my editing techniques, even though my edits are far inferior to some of the other photographers

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Make the viewer question the thing that we intend to be the main focus. Not to blatantly promote a brand but make the user want to know more about brand/product in question.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I would suggest keeping your followers count and average likes count above a sweet spot of around 30%. Buying face followers is a big no no for me as both the likes and followers count don’t really correlate. For instance having 10k++ followers and only around 500-1500 likes kinda seems low followers engagement

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I can’t really answer this question
