Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mish & Kirk @WeLiveWeExplore

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Our names are Mish & Kirk – we are a couple from Adelaide (Mish) and Sydney (Kirk) in Australia ! We have been travelling the world now for almost 10 months, and combine our love and passion for travelling with photography. We are currently enjoying the summer in Europe, and plan to be back home before Christmas this year!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel! Travel is our number one passion and we absolutely love exploring different parts of this world and immersing ourselves in the adventures, food, and culture that it has to offer. Loving all aspects of travel, the majority of our Instagram posts are landscape photographs, capturing shots of us enjoying the places that we travel, whether this be in the mountains on a hike, on the beach, or wandering around the streets. Recently in Europe we have started a little more Lifestyle type photography, and are really enjoying this!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

We Live, We Explore! We love exploring new places, new countries, new adventures.. we brainstormed an Instagram that would explain what we love to do, and this one seemed to fit us and our dreams the best! For as long as we are living we will continue to explore all that this gorgeous world has to offer!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

We use a program called Lightroom to edit our photos – we use a Canon 6D for our photography work, and then transfer the photos onto our apple MacBook, and then utilise the Lightroom application to edit our photographs before posting them to Instagram or our website – we find the program super user friendly once you get the hang of it, and have learnt a lot from YouTube tutorials too!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

We follow a range of inspiring and talented Instagrammers! Some of our favourites are @wildernessaddict – we have followed this blonde babe from Day 1! She is always enjoying the outdoors, mountains, hiking, camping, and is a fantastic photographer.
More recently we have been inspired by the likes of @doyoutravel & his girlfriend @gypsea_lust – we love following the journey’s of other couple’s who are living their dream together!
@tysontravel is also an incredible photographer and videographer – we are very fond of his YouTube channel as videography is also an area that we are starting to grow in.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Reaching out! Reach out to other influencers, reach out to the people that inspire you, reach out to people that you would love to work and collaborate with – reaching out will not only open up new doors of opportunities for you, but it will also allow you to learn so much from different people all over the world!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Our favourite part about being an influencer is the engagement that it promotes within the social media community, all over the world. We have made some wonderful friends from all different countries via social media who we regularly keep in touch with, and who are always giving us wonderful advice about places to travel, hidden gems, and things to see. Being an influencer has made us friends in so many different places, we love people, and we love learning about people and their lifestyles, and this is exactly what being an influencer has allowed us to do.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

N/A – perhaps not relevant to us as influencers?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is SO important to us that we stay true to ourselves as influencers – we are inspired by so many other accounts, however it is also important to us that our content remains original. Many brands have advised that they love working with us due to the fact that we are unique – and uniqueness and originality is something that we will maintain and can’t encourage others to do so enough also.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

We love that partnering with brands is a love/love situation for both parties! Brands have the opportunity to market their gorgeous gear on our social media accounts and website, and we have the opportunity to try out new products and promote the ones that we love!
