Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Michelle Thalana @Mysmiche

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Law by day, I work for the forensic investigations department. I am a young girl from Atteridgeville, Pretoria. Fast cars are me and I am fast cars lol. I believe life is too short to be driving a crappy car. Fashion, beauty, food and travelling is what I stan for on the online community.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I usually post about the clothes or shoes that I am wearing and the bags that I carry, people have been approaching me and asking me through my Instagram posts where I buy my bags from.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is a fusion of the the title "Miss" but decided to be creative about it and spell it as Mys instead of the normal "Miss" and the rest of Miche is just the shorter version of my name Michelle.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use the edits that come with my iPhone. I just go to photo edits then I edit it to which ever way I want to make sure that I post quality pictures.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Kefilwe Mabote, she has really turned this brand influencing to a whole new level, the travels, clothes and food. She is living most of our dreams.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Going to an excluded old type of place and take pictures there, they will be amazing trust me.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The fact that I get paid for it , I mean come on hahaha I love being an influencer because I get to influence and further advertise things that I am really passionate of and really love.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always make sure that client briefs you about what you need to do from a-z. Time management also, look at the times when most people are online and will most likely see your post, analytics should be your best friend, also knowing what is it that your followers want. Posting authentic and relevant content and always be engaging to your followers.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I would say that to always be relevant and know what your followers expect from you all the time, consistency is key. Be you and that is the most important thing and also show that you are passionate about what you are doing. Put in an effort and engage, follow up, ask followers what their experience was like, hold competition giveaways.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The fact that some brands will send you free stuff or send you away for free I mean who doesn’t like free things. Also being partnering with brands that really go with your values and the type of person you are and what you like.
