Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Michael Foxington @foxingtonphoto

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a photographer based in Australia. I’m just about to complete a bachelor degree in photography. Most of my life revolves around my photography, making compelling and engaging images and collaborating with amazing designers, models, makeup artists and stylists to create awesome art.
I’m born and raised here in Melbourne Australia, it’s a beautiful city with a vibrant creative culture.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested in fashion, design, lifestyle and art. I usually post my fashion and portraiture photography on Instagram, occasionally I’ll post still life art work. Usually my feed follows where I am at creatively and what kind of work I’m producing so there can be a bit of variety over time.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name is pretty straightforward, just my last name with photo on the end, because this is where I post my most regular content it is the best place to find my most current work.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Lightroom for file handling, geotagging, metadata tagging and to raw process my photos for minor colour correcting and minor exposure adjustments. Anything more complicated and I work in Photoshop predominantly for my retouching, colour correction, colour grading and editing.
My routines are pretty straight forward, I aim to get most of my colour and composition correct in camera and only really edit for correction, skin retouching and grading.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I always check out posts by @itsjeremyscott @rankinarchive @plastikmagazine @schonmagazine @moschino @hypebeast and @wmagazine_
