1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a full-time blogger from Leipzig, Germany. I do own 2 different blogs and started in 2011. Aside from that I’m also a social media consultant and corporate blogger for several German companies, Instagram visual content creator and about to found my own agency.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Beauty, Lifestyle, Fashion, Music and Personal.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I started with a nickname “Mia Alabaster” and turned it into Mia Ihring, which is close to my real name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Lightroom, Photoshop, VSCO, Afterlight.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Bonnie Strange does amazing content. I also like Amelie Picard or Caro Daur.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Being a bit more original. There’s too much redundant content with uninspired quotes out there.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I can work from any place at any time as long as I have Internet. I don’t see myself as an influencer. I’m a trendscout and content creator.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Choose the right people. Community building combined with the right targeting is more valuable than reach itself.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Use a good camera, work with different people and don’t try to impress others all the time. And don’t make it about the advertisement only. It should come off natural.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I enjoy extending my network.
