Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Masha Galtsova @Masha.galtsova

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I studied business in the U.K. and Spain and now I live in Russia where I started my pastry journey 5 years ago. Now I offer consulting worldwide for pastry shops starting with simple things as developing new menu to starting a business from 0.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

All kinds of pastry: desserts, cakes, cookies etc. along with some business advice or professional tips. Rarely photos from my travels. Another passion of mine is lifting yet I never take any workout videos or photos.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

At first I used another name but then switched to using just my real name because they say it’s kinda more professional.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Vsco cam 99% of the time and then I edit the photo with the settings that instagram has since these are more functional than those in Vsco

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are too many to mention. I follow only those who enspire me and there are about 600 of them:) they are mainly business leaders Gary Vaynerchuck, chefs like Francisco Migoya, Antonio Bachour, Frank Haasnoot. Athletes: Dr Layane Norton, Yuri Belkin, Nicole Wilkins, Katie Anne Rutherford.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Yes, tart moulds that we made ourselves:) Some nice products appear on the market quite often can’t name any awesome right now

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Sharing the good stuff. As I teach and share my experience I try to give the most valuable information so that others can save their energy and time by avoiding the mistakes that I’ve done before. I love being helpful and assist people in becoming better.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

This one is hard to tell.. depends on the brand really and company’s values.
Some quick points: less direct copying of others, do your research and collect all the data available about competitors and turn everything upside down – this will be your strategy, share information, experiment.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

If there’s no quality then there’s no sustainability. Quality is N1 priority especially nowadays. Being original becomes harder and harder every day but striving for having something special is very important in order to stand out. Having an USP is a key, so it might be more efficient to chose a smaller niche in the market rather than trying to target a huge audience and lose focus.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Giving feedback. I believe in Kaizen concept and that successful companies do not stop improving their products/services
