Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Markéta Kučerová @maggie_wallflower

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Markéta and I come from the Czech republic, the heart of Europe. I currently live and study E-design in Denmark.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My most favourite pictures are always made while travelling, in both cities and nature. I like to share tips for foodies, architecture and art lovers. Since I moved to Denmark, I decided to take pictures of everyday pleasures to appreciate the good times I’ve had and people I’ve met and to create visual memories of my stay here.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name is maggie_wallflower. Wallflower comes from the book The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which I read when I was searching for the answers to the teenage questions. Instagram and people there kind of helped me to discover these answers, express myself and find my real passions.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My favourite app is VSCO cause it has the most natural-looking filters. I usually use filter A6 and increase the exposure a bit. If there is a bad lightning I use Snapseed to make the background a little bit brighter – white looks always pretty cool on feed.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Mostly Czech Instagrammers who became my friends in real life later.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I often think a lot about comments. Sometimes it’s details that I want to point out, good light or song, book or quote that connects somehow with the picture. It’s great to receive reactions on my thoughts and feelings.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Interaction with my followers.
Opportunity to work on interesting campaigns and meet cool people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

By storytelling. Choose the right influencers with an audience you want to appeal to.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Never stop looking for inspiration every day and try to come up with new ideas. Don’t settle for what you’ve already done, but challenge yourself. You have to fight the struggle with what you like the best, listen to your customers and feedback from your followers.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I really appreciate getting the opportunity and trust from the brands.
