Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Marija Milosevic @hronicno_ironicna

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am from Serbia, I am 19 years old and I am currently a student of electronic engineering in Nish, Serbia. I’ve been a part of a folklore group for 11 years – traditional Serbian dance is my passion. I also learn Italian and German in my free time, and try to travel as much as I can.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

It depends on the season – if it’s summer, my pictures are mostly from travel destinations (this summer I’ve travelled around Serbia, I’ve been to Vienna and I’m heading off to Prague in a couple of days), other than that, I try to keep my feed interesting, with pictures of my hometown, or pictures from my performances as a folklore dancer.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is in Serbian and it was hard to come up with it… I was looking for something that would describe me, but in a funny way, so I realized I use irony and sarcasm way too much – and voila! That’s how hronicno_ironicna was born (chronically_ironic) 🙂

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

When I post from my camera, I usually edit them on my computer, in Lightroom, otherwise I’m using Vsco and some of the Instagram filters offered. I don’t like to edit them too much though, sometimes less is more.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Tough to decide, I like to see a nicely arranged feed, with lots of architecture and nature…
I would pick @irinahp , @ponocnijahac and @withinstalovealex. They really inspire people, and amaze them with their pictures, they make you try really hard in order to experience and see life and simple things in the way they see it.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Being spontaneous on selfie pictures. A lot of them look like they tried really hard, but all it takes is a smile – no need for a full set of make-up, 2 hours of blowdrying your hair and a pet you will torment 🙂

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Making people think about their everyday actions, giving tips about what they can do that can help them improve their everyday life, motivating them to study and work on themselves.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

A lot of people have a thing, like a signature, on social networks. Maybe (s)he has pictures of watches and bracelets that are fun and colorful, or pictures of vintage windows and doors (which I fall for, honestly). I try to keep it simple and honest, in my every post. I like to joke about myself, and a lot of my captions have a joke hidden inside them, or a sonfg describing the moment captivated in a picture. It all comes down to how creative you are 🙂

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Every person is unique and has something that separates him from the rest. They need to embrace the differences and use it to improve their lives. If they are innovative, creative and confident enough to show it to others, they make the world a more interesting place 🙂

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s the opportunity to taste something nee and unknown, and also share it with others. We aren’t aware of everything that surrounds us, and partnering with brands makes it easier for all to explore.
