1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am a late 20s lady staying in Singapore, currently holding 2 very interesting jobs – a Medical Sales in the weekdays and a Wedding Planner in the weekends. Yes, these 2 jobs are totally the opposite but that is what kept me going. I cant keep still, hence I cant constraint myself to a desk-bound job.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I look small but I LOVE food. Most of the photos on my Instagram are about the people that plays a part in my growing up, my daily happenings, beauty and of course FOOD. I have a habit of posting a vertical string of food photos in my profile thumbnail view.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My Instagram name is flo_lim. It’s pretty direct, just a shorter version of my full name Florence Lim. My other social medias have the same account name too. Simple and straight to the point, people will definitely know that is it me!!
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I am currently using a Samsung Note 8 phone, I believe the initial photo must be good to start with.
I started off with using the ‘Live Focus’ function of the Samsung Note 8 camera (or a real handheld camera), followed by simple corrections from the Meitu app, and ended off with final slight enhancement on the Instagram app itself before posting. Recently I got introduced to the Lightroom CC app which I am still very much exploring.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I follow quite a bit of influencers such as @NarelleKheng, @Xiaxue, @beautifulbuns_sg and calligraphers such as @gracesongcalligraphy, @calligkatrina. But I really like @sadelle, a model from Hong Kong. I find her a natural beauty and her fashion style is something that I really like a lot.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Bunggy jump. This is something that has been in my bucket list for the longest time but I just didn’t have the chance to do it. So I would love to see other people sharing their experiences.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
I think its more of finding people who are like-minded and of the same interest as you. With that, it makes it easier to exchange pointers, advises and share experiences with one another. I always believe we are constantly learning something Everyday.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
It would be good to provide some background information about the products or campaigns that the brands are running. With that, it would help influencers to produce more genuine caption and feedback. And of course, a hashtag would make it accessible for followers with the topic of interest.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
I believe the caption must be of a genuine feedback and experience from the influencers posting it. It wouldn’t help if all the influencers are posting the exact same caption of a product because it would make followers doubt the trust and reliability of that particular influencer.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I believe the world is big out there. By partnering with brands, I get to be more exposed to things that I never knew exist or try out things that would further enhance and enrich my interests. Most importantly if there are good stuff out there, we got to share it with the world.
