Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: lian @rvjxct

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Scotland in the UK, I’m still in highschool (I know right, what a shame!) Currently doing an extra curricular course in a music school. I play the violin and piano and currently hoping that I won’t fail all my exams!!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I really enjoy doing makeup, drawing. Anything in the arts side really but especially music, just you can’t really post a picture of yourself playing violin without it being a video, and if you do, you get criticism from all sorts of people just because you aren’t a professional musician or even from your peers who would judge you for doing so. So yeah, that’s why I try to steer clear of posting any pictures of my instruments.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

This is a funny story. I was in a horrible mood at myself. I had just gotten out of hospital after a week of being on antibiotics and staying in bed and I just wanted to get better. And then I kept wondering about people who aren’t necessarily like me, who have to stay in bed for the rest of their lives, people like my mum. And then somehwere along the way, the word reject came along and I just really liked that word so I changed my instagram name to it just that someone had already taken it! So I decided to replace the vowels with consonants until the ‘word’ looked nice and that was where my instagram name was born.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I manly use vsco, it’s such an amazing app especially if you need an app that can give you a rough layout like instagram. It allows you to create your own filters so not one is the same. I would definitely recommend it if you are starting out on Instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are a few instagrammers that I really like however I don’t go to them for inspiration because I get inspiration from my surroundings and what I feel like people don’t really appreciate. Some of my favourite instagrammers are:

@jonas.g_photography
@motherffucker
@plumpyprincess
@_.sillage._
@weird_creature1612

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Probably salted popcorn if you haven’t already lol

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I don’t really know, I don’t even know if I count myself as one to be honest, everything seems surreal.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I don’t really know, im sort of new to all this.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Stay original and creative. Try and come up with ideas no one has really thought of before. Don’t go with trends because they will easily pass by.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Introducing things that people might never of heard of before.
