Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Leila Tarek @biblioleilah

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an Egyptian IGCSE student, who lives in Qatar and cares a tad bit too much about books.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Books, books and more books. I post about (oh, you guess it) books. I love music and poetry, but I’m mainly a bookstagrammer here.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Bibliophile (n.)
\ˈbi-blē-ə-ˌfī(-ə)l\
a lover of books especially for qualities of format; also : a book collector.
And my name is Leilah, take the biblio, smack my name to the side, and you get it, biblioleilah.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO and Faded, great apps. I highly recommend both of them. I mainly use HB1 in VSCO and Sentosa in Faded. It takes a lot of experimenting to get the right edit, but it’s all worth it in the end.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@Salmaagroudy, @maielqady and @foksha_1996. I can’t pick one. They’re all creative and they’re super friendly and sweet. They inspire me, because they always post something a little bit different, I feel disappointed when I open my Instagram account and find no new posts from any of them.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

That’s not book-related, but starting a fitness challenge with a friend. I know it’s completely random, but it’s loads of fun tbh, and the progress you see with each passing day motivates you to be healthier.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I just hope I motivate someone to start doing something they love, and not really care what people think of that. I mean, you’ll wake up one day and realise you spent your life doing something, so it better be something you love, because every hardship you go through will be worth it, as long as you’re passionate about the thing you do.
That’s the message I think everyone needs to hear, and sometimes it’s hard for us to see the light, even those who usually seem like they radiate it.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I really don’t know ?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Get inspired, but don’t copy. Give credit to those who inspire you, it matters. Work extra hard. Easy come, easy go, so you should really be patient and success will follow.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I never did tbh, but I’d love to one day. I think it offers great opportunities for both the brand and the person, it’s a win-win situation.
