Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kennedy Cooper @Kennedy_cooper

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hey guys! My name is Kennedy Cooper and I’m 21 years old from one of the best little adventure towns out there, Bend, Oregon. I love photography and video production and that’s why I have such a passion for traveling around the world and showcasing all my adventures, tips, and favorite gear on Instagram! I currently have just gotten back from backpacking and hitchhiking in New Zealand for two months! It was an incredible experience that I will never forget! I also am a little coffee addict and proud of it! You’ll find me always outside doing something active whether it’d be kayaking, hiking smith Rock, working on my acro yoga or snowboarding in the winter!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

When you go to my Instagram page you’re going to see mostly pictures from my travels and my fitness routines! I was a nationally ranked gymnast for 15 years so it has tought me great workouts to showcase to everyone on social media, I love getting feedback that I’m influencing other people! You’ll find a lot of adventure pictures of here in Bend, Oregon as well! Along with my pictures and videos of traveling around the world! I was also a personal stylist back in the day so every once in awhile I’ll post some fashion forward things!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well, pretty obvious on this one and I kind of wish I had come up with something a bit more clever but as you can see it’s just my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I’m a strong believer that you shouldn’t over edit your pictures so I stand by two editing apps which are vsco and MoldIV. Both are great because you can edit your pictures, but to the point where it still looks like you’re not trying too hard to make it look like something that wasn’t originally photographed!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Wow, I have so many Instagram inspirations it’s crazy! It’s unbelievable how talented the instagram community really is. But some of my top three are

They all inspire me to go out and adventure, especially @Radgirlscollective because it’s all about adventurous women going out and living life to the fullest!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

One thing that I am obsessed with right now that everyone needs to know about is if you’re a traveling guru like myself then check out the Luci solar power backpacking light! You blow it up when you get to your destination and is solar powered so it is so convient and rad! I also am loving the Patagonia trucker hats from REI, I wear it every time I adventure out in Bend!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part of being an influencer is that I love seeing it impact other people for the better! I love giving out tips on the best hikes, I love sharing how certain gear from various companies impacts my life for the better and knowing that I’m 100% honest when I back up a company so that my audience will be satisfied to the fullest if they end up trying out whatever I’m promoting at the time!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I would say some of my top tips for brands for running campaigns is to look for the real people that you know are actually going to be using your products! Just like you wouldn’t want to influence a makeup company if your passion was in the food industry. Stay real to what you know!

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

My advice on the importance of quality and original content is that make sure you have background knowledge on whatever you’re promoting and take time to really write a review that is honest and that is going to want to make the consumer go out and try it for there self! Take the time to make sure your content is up to par with the Instagram community because there are thousands of talented people out there but if you make your content relatable and honest you will stand out among the rest!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The best part about partnering with brands is that you’re Always partaking in something new! I love trying out new things that I wouldn’t usually go for and vice versa, I love trying out products that I actually use in my everyday life! It really shows the brands, that when I am crazy about a product that they are doing something right and that they have good quality products!
