Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jung Park @djjungpark

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

20 year veteran DJ, 20 years experience marketing/branding/events & currently consultant/agent, gym enthusiast, entrepreneur. Raised in Singapore, lived and garnered a career in the USA (Rochester NY), and Canada (Montreal, QC), and since 9 years ago now in Seoul South Korea.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Lifestyle, my own style, travels, beaches/sunsets. I tend to post daily looks with backdrops from travels, sunsets, my own style i.e. clothes/car/accessories, and gym body pics(my own).

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I am a dj, my dj name is dj jung, and my name is jung park, thus @djjungpark.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

1. photoshop on macbook for cropping, basic editing
2. photoshop mix on iphone for slight touches if necessary
3. instagram edits if appropriate (very slight)

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I don’t tend to ‘particularly’ like/follow/be inspired by one or just a select few people/influences in general across the board of interests. I get inspired by bits and pieces of many people. For example, i’ll learn/get influence from random cool instagrammers, and move on to others. Kinda live in my own world, lol.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Follow your own path = be yourself & be confident

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Breaking the mold of ‘systems.’ i.e. Most instagrammers, like in marketing, focus on one specific thing. I like to push that boundary, meaning if you follow me, it’s because you are engaging with all parts of me, from my style, my preference in travel, being a gym/fit body enthusiast, and not just one aspect of me.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Consistentcy, and have a story to tell. So many brands confuse the meaning of telling a story. You need your ‘story,’ one that can transcend into others, and maintain a link.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

If it’s not of quality, originality, nor having a unique factor, nobody will notice.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

When it’s a good fit, it’s a win win situation.
