Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Josh Davey @9nth

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently working as a data cabler through the week & using my weekends to explore to beautiful countryside of New Zealand which i’ve recently moved to from Australia about a month ago!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love to post landscape & lifestyle photographs to try and inspire people everywhere to go out and explore the beautiful world we live in.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wish I had a good answer for this, it doesn’t quite have any meaning. The name popped into my head one day & the name stuck after I started to become known by it.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My main editing app in Adobe Lightroom, it’s by far the best program for photos. I like to edit my photos in a random order, going back and forth between photos, changing things to see what looks best. Often i’ll have two or three edits of one photo to pick from for when I post.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

By far the main influence on my photography passion would be @mrbenbrown he is a youtuber, film maker, photographer & all around creative and I’m sure I’m not alone in saying he’s one of the best around at the moment.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think lifestyle photography is a huge thing at the moment.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I enjoy being able to help people who are just starting out, because I know for me it wasn’t that long ago trying to break into the instagram community and get known can be quite intimidating.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think customer service is by far the most important thing, and also respect for any creative involved in their campaign. I also think the number one way to get a brands name out there is by reaching out to larger instagramers & supplying them with whatever your company sells in exchange for photo/video content aswell as promotion on their own pages.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Originality is so important, probably the most important thing in standing out as a creative. Stay original no matter what & never compromise.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being able to help each other grow and expand audiences.
