Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: josefina alvarez castillo @shelterfordragons

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Im a 26 years old photographer and illustrator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently moving out to live for an year in Barcelona with my boyfriend Aquiles (@jacktheartist on Instagram) and my tiny dog (@fiestathecat on Instagram)

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Nature: human hands touching nature, and any colorful thing that i stand across. I also post lot of travel related post: landscapes and lifestyle.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

When instagram featured my #peoplesaura pic on their account i was called @jalvarezcastillo (i still keep this name for a personal account) but then i changed for a more arty name. Shelter for Dragons came along my compassion for the “scary ones” I really believe that even the most badass human still keeps a pure heart hidden in the shadows. I think that as dragons, supposedly “bad people” still need love and shelter.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Snapseed, VSCO Cam and Touch Retouch.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

A reflex camara with wifi included. For tking pictures in a really good quality, sending them right to their phones, editing them and uploading them right away.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being your own boss, creating new stuff on a daily basis and meeting new awesome infuencer people!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

let the influencer’s imagination run wild. trust the final product!

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Users are not stupid, they really apreciate when a contenct has a creative and original twist. I had experienced in my own account. When i upload a boring picture that i dont really like, comments and likes reflect reflect the same response.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Every new products demand a new idea for a picture. That keeps me always challenging myself.
