Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jaslin Johari @Jaslinjohari

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello, my name is siti jaslin binti johari. I am 23 years old. I’m from Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Currently studying at University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) at Johor and taking marketing course. Besides being a student, i also doing a business. I have a fashion based business that I run by myself.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love food so much. So i always share or review some delicious food on my instagram. I will review honestly and rate them based on eiter i really like the food or not. I also interested on traveling. Since im a student, I will share to people to travel with minimal cost but still enjoy the destination. I’m also interested about entrepreneurship. I will post something that can motivate and boost everyone mood in business and daily life.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram’s name is based on my own name, siti jaslin binti johari. So i just take my first and last name and combined it and become Jaslin Johari.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Currently i’m using iphone x to take my photo and i will edit it on lightroom or vsco.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I like to see people that travel around like princessminie and sharifahrose. And i also like to see people that post something simple yet so details for example imanabdrahim. I like her minimal post about skincare and food.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think its about food and skincare. Because woman will love this two things!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love when people happy to try something that i post on my instagram. They share to me their experiences and I know they are happy. When i post something motivational, some people direct message me and tell their private problems and they want me to give ideas to solve the things. eventhough we are not know each other but they trust me and want me to give some motivation to them. They also always get excited to know the new things that i try. Im happy to makes people happy.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

For now, I review clothing brand like Theghrack and I also review food like boatnoodle and street churos. For me to maintain authenticity, I must be myself and review honestly. I must review with my own way such as my own caption.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

For me, quality and original content are very important. We must have a quality pictures because in instagram people will attract to the pictures compared to the words or sentences. So we must have a good quality picture to easier to edit pictures and post to instagram. And don’t ever plagiarism others or be a copy cat. Being a copy cat is not gonna show the truth of yourself. You content will different in every post if you’re not be original.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

In my opinion, i think i will get more knowledge about the brands. So its easier to attract and give my followers awareness about the brand.
