1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
My name is Janine. I was born and raised in Germany but have lived in California for the last 5 years and came back to Germany only a couple months ago. My dad is a musician and thus I have been singing pretty much all life long. A couple months ago I’ve decided to turn my hobby into a profession and started my own YouTube channel.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I post a lot about YouTube and music related topics, but I also post personal stuff like where I’ve been out with friends so people feel like they kind of know me.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
I was looking for something that was kind of close to my own name, which is Janine! Jailee came up while I was hanging with friends and we were brain storming for names.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
Mostly I use an app called Typic, I use it to square my pics for Instagram. Other than that I use Instagram itself a lot, like for filters and editing the photo in general. For blurring my pics I use Blur Effect and sometimes I use Prisma. That’s pretty much it.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
The page secrets2success inspires me a lot with their quotes. Sometimes when I get a negative comment from a viewer or something like that I read their quotes and remember that things like that just go hand in hand with becoming successful in whatever you feel passionate about.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
I’m seriously amazed by the new Prizma app. I like photoshopping pictures and changing colors or backgrounds. Prizma takes your photos to a whole new level which is fun.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favorite part is definitely the positive and lovely comments people leave under my pics. It makes me happy when I can make people feel happy, it’s overwhelming when people tell you they have been waiting for your video all day and you can tell how exciting they are about it.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I feel like nowadays it is way more useful to use people for campaigns who are “closer” to the end user. Influencers who people can identify and interact with. That’s way better than just showing an ad on tv with any Hollywood star people will never talk to anyway. It just gets way more personal by using people “like you and me”.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Quality and original content is more than important. People need to trust an influencer. If they decide to buy a product and find out it’s not like what the influence told them they’ll get upset and won’t buy anything that person is promoting ever again, in the worst case they would unfollow that influencer.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
That just goes hand in hand with success I believe. It’s basically a win win situation for both sides. The company the influencer is promoting for will be able to reach more people this way and the influencer has the opportunity to show a product that he or she is convinced about to the followers.
