Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jan @jangoesplaces

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a classic car enthusiast, especially interested in aircooled Volkswagen bugs and buses. My ride is a yellow Volkswagen split window bus and I am based in Switzerland.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I travel through the beautiful landscapes Switzerland with my vintage bus and capture the beautiful moments on the road. These moments reach from camping at mountain lakes to repairing and upgrading the bus.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is Jan and I am a travel enthusiast. Jan goes places -> jangoesplaces is who I am and what I do.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I shoot stills and video with my DSLR and my phone. On the computer I edit with Lightroom and on the phone I use Snapseed.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are many Instagrammers that I really enjoy following. As a travel and vintage car enthusiast the number of great accounts is endless. I am inspired by Instagrammers that are able to capture great shots and have a high engagement rate.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I enjoy sharing my vintage VW experience with the VW community and those that don’t have the joy of owning a classic car. They can be part of my ride through Switzerland.

There are very exciting partners, brands and products to work with.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I only work with brands and products that I already have, use and love or would genuinely use.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Be true to yourself and do the same in front of the camera as you do behind the camera.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like getting to know new brands and products. I also learn many news things about the brands I already know and use.
