Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Issa Perez @issaplease

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Issa Perez, commonly known as issaplease from a small island in the Philippines, Cebu. I do everything online- I blog, vlog and I have my own podcast. When I’m not doing that, I’m giving different workshops and managing our family business.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m fascinated by fashion and anything that I find beautiful whether it’s food, what I’m wearing or a beautiful scene. I love to try out new things and travel so I’m always making sure to share that on my Instagram.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Issaplease was and is my online persona. People don’t even recognize me by my real name anymore and it just made sense to name my instagram that.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Here is a short but concise way way of how I edit my photos: VSCO (SE > adjust: brightness, contrast & temp); Colorstory/ PicsArt; UNUM> Instagram

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I like a lot of local Filipino instagrammers such as LeahGoesOn, Shaira Luna, Mark Ambalong & Liz Dumdum

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like that people look up to me and actually take my word. I wish to build an audience and then create something bigger than just promoting brands and a lifestyle.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Just be honest in everything you do whether it’s a Nay or a Yay.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

A photo speaks a thousand words so always try to have quality photos and your captions are secondary to your photo so always make sure your captions are your honest opinion without making it sound like a “hard sell” and always try your best to be engaging and authentic!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Knowing that brands trust me and my audience is something that I love about partnering with brands. I might not have a super wide audience but the ones that follow me have been loyal and slowly but surely, I’ve been able to influence others, as well.
