Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Hannah Overmyer @hannah.overmyer

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am currently starting up my photography business as well as my YouTube channel. I ride horses and show nationally in the United States of America, which is where I’m from, of course.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love fashion, beauty, nature, and photography. I typically post nature photos, with hints of fashion and food thrown in. I love to make my feed fit together.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted my Instagram username to highlight my true name, therefore I used my first and last name with a period to break it up. Nothing too special.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I typically don’t edit my photos too much, because I want to keep a sense of reality in my feed. When I do edit, I use VSCO and just brighten the hues in my photos.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I honestly love most all of the Instagram accounts I follow. I don’t take a lot of inspiration from Instagrammers because I love to do my own thing, but if I had to pin my finger on one, I’d say I get a lot of inspiration from @the_salty_blonde.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Oh my goodness. If there’s one thing my fellow Instagrammers need to try, it’d be a daily routine of yoga. I LOVE yoga and how it makes me feel and I think everyone needs to give yoga a chance and try it out.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love knowing that people look at what content I post and can take inspiration from it; whether it’s from a photography aspect, or a personal lifestyle aspect. It makes me feel wonderful.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think it’s all about being real and reaching customers/viewers in a down-to-earth way. I maintain authenticity by keeping my captions simple and humble and making sure my photos do the speaking for me. I also always add a date to my posts so I can look back on my feed and see what I was doing at certain points in my life.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is very important. You won’t get a lot of response from a low quality post, but I think originality is WAY more important. You can have high quality posts with no originality, but that won’t get you anywhere and that won’t set you apart from any other account with a basic white-based feed. I try to stray from that because I don’t want to be the same as everyone else.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love partnering with brands because it allows me the power to inform others about brands I love and support. I am a HUGE fan of brands with a cause; therefore I am a brand ambassador for Sand Cloud and Bikinima, who both have great causes behind their brands that I fully support.
