Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Gyra Barroga @gyrabarroga

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a professional volleyball athlete from the Philippines. I play for United Volleyball Club which competes in the Philippine Superliga.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Food, clothes, travel and music are my favorite topics. I love posting about clothes and my travels on instagram and also adding food places to my stories. I post quite a number of endorsements such as fashion and music.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I chose my IG name ‘gyrabarroga’ because it is who I am known as and it is easily searched. I am known for playing volleyball and also for my outgoing and adventurous personality that is why I think I am followed on IG.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use the app Snapseed to edit my photos. I just like to brighten the photo and add a bit of color to make it more lively.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico on instagram because they are really funny and also I consider them as #couplegoals. I like seeing them on Instagram because they just give me good vibes and make me happy .

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try new things!!! Get out of your comfort zone. You will only grow if you are taking risks.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love inspiring people to be better and to push themselves. I love showing them that there is always a brighter side in life and they should never give up. I also love it when I can connect with different people through social media.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think that they should always keep in mind that who they choose to represent their brands are a big factor. They should also make sure that they have quality items or offers so that the buyers will be happy and content. Happy customers = more sales.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Just keep it simple. Always try to focus on what you love about what you are endorsing. Never represent something you do not love. Make sure you are happy and content with what you are endorsing.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love it when they provide quality products and communicate well with ambassadors. It is important to me when they explain the mechanics properly. I also love partnering with brands because it adds to my experience and allows me to learn new things.
