Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Gabriel @gabrielfatam

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a visual art student based in Morocco, basically I study cinema and imaging, and I’m pursuing my Master degree in photography. I also enjoy drawing, writing poems, especially love ones, making music, anything that has to do with creativity.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested in creative, modern lifestyle, in natural human and nature beauty. And when it comes to posting on my instagram, I stick to a minimalist theme where I like sharing traveling images, whether it was landscape or architecture, and also my lifestyle which can varies from my mornings in bed, what’s on my table or outfits that I wear.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name is my own name, Gabriel Fatam, and the reason why I chose it is because I want to share images that has to do with my lifestyle, what represents me and the way I see life, so it’s almost about my life’s interesting moments.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually edit my photos on my Mac, photoshop, and instagram editing tools. When I make sure that a photo I have taken is great, I adjust the exposure and highlights on my Macbook, after that I correct the white balance if it’s not on photoshop, sometimes I adjust colours, and finally, I fix my final editing using instagram editing tools. There you go, the photo is ready !

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are many great instagramers who have amazing content and a similar theme as mine, for instance, @sergeysuxov, @elhamhoxhalli, @disarmonico post fantastic images which I adore in terms of colours and creative ideas. @helloemilie is definitely my top source of inspiration, not only her photos are amazingly captivating, but also her style is unique and mesmerising.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I’m sorry but I didn’t really get the question well, but as far as I understand, that thing would be being able to travel the world with no limits to capture moments unlimitedly to create photos we have always wanted to create.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Well being an influencer for me means you have made a good job by gaining loyal followers who love what you’re doing, and by that I can have a chance to aware others about many things and change their minds to the better by making them realise how precious and unique everyone should be, and that by following our hearts and dreams we can make anything happen 🙂

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I don’t have much experience in running campaigns, but all i can say is to look for a goal that will make a change in our society in a positive way, in order to make our community a better place.
Posting everyday is a huge challenge for me, and to keep doing what I’m doing at the same level and even better takes lots of hard work, and what makes feed that passion inside me to continue and be authentic, it’s my deep love to photography and of course the support from my friends and my followers.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

My most important advise is that originality plays a crucial role in gaining more engagement, but quality differs from originality, you can have quality but not originality, and vice versa, and in order to obtain both of characteristics, practice, practice and practice is for sure the best way to achieve quality and originality.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

For me, the best part of that is to challenge oneself to create content where you have to add a brand’s element AND keep your style without any remarkable changes, and also it’s a great experience to create and learn more things.
