Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Frances Beltran @frances.beltran

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a 17 year old blogger from Manila, Philippines. I was a former online correspondent for my country’s #1 teen publication— Candy Magazine. At that time, I was only 15 years old, making me the youngest contributor in a team of college students.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love anything to do with fashion, literature, and a beautiful lifestyle. I like to post my outfits plus unexpectedly gorgeous sights I find in unconventional locations. I also like to DIY my own outfits as well!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s simply my own name, because I wanted people to know that looking at my photos meant learning my story.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

After years of trying and testing different apps, I finally found my go-tos! To give my photos a professional pastel touch, I modify the brighteness and hues on the Adobe Lightroom App. Depending on the picture, I enhance certain portions on Snapseed. If it’s a picture with a person, I smoothe out any blemishes with YouCam Make Up.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I absolutely adore @lissakahayon and @idaanduyan. They’re color schemes are what I aim to achieve!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Utilize the location feature! Every time I need to go somewhere, I check out the place’s tag on Instagram to peruse the interiors. This makes it easier to spot the most photogenic spots and get inspiration from people who have taken pictures there before!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting my audience to smaller brands and showing new ways to use conventional products.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I believe brands should look for influencers who exemplify their image. Often times, I see companies tap influencers who have done reviews in the past without checking of their overall aesthetic matches the brand’s vision.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

As an influencer, I make it a point to write only the truth. I want my readers to see that these products are genuinely something I’m interested in and would use on a daily basis, so I highly advocate truthfulness.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Connecting them to audiences who believe in my belief in them!
