Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Floral Eden @florally.eden

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

So my name is Eden and I’m a teenage beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger from the UK. I started back in June 2015 and now have nearly 200 blog followers and my Instagram has over 2k which I’m so grateful for!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are mainly beauty, fashion and makeup! Makeup is my absolute passion and anyone can do it! I love clothes and shopping a lot and I just love sharing my day in the lifes and my photography.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name: @florally.eden came about from my blog which is: floraleden.wordpress.com and I wanted something similar but not exactly the same so I came up with florally instead of floral and just tagged my name on the end! I love the name as it’s totally personal to me!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

So the apps I use are Whitagram and VSCO cam! Those are the main one sometimes I dip into pic collage and square ready. So for my current Instagram theme I just go to whitagram with a photo of flatlay makeup and go to the editor and turn the hi-def right up this just improves the quality of the photo and then I go off editor and just use the brightness and turn it up to 80. Then I go to the border bit and put a 20 border on it. That’s it for ins gram I use a mix of VSCO and Whitagram for my blog!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love @lilypebbles her feed is just always flawless and her quality is so good! She is so good at photography and she just does care free theme too well! I love @velvetgh0st because she has so many different themes and just transition them into one another and she takes time to do her Instagram and she is such a perfectionist just like me! I love so many floral and beauty themes as well, some people’s themes are just incredible!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

It would have to be just trying to make another account if you don’t have one already! For anyone to follow and just share something you love whether it’s beauty or photos you’ve taken of trees. Be creative and personal, it’s a great thing to do!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

When I started my blog I had no idea where I was going with it at all! Now I’m here and I love to influence people to give things a go! Try lots of things and be yourself! If you love something pursue it! Don’t worry about other people’s opinions! Be yourself and be proud! I love helping people set up their instagrams and the best bit of being a influencer is the help I can give and I love feeling like i can help people because I was in their situation once!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Promote your product as how it is! Be real and true. Make sure the product does what it says because if some people see a product they want to get and it turns out not to do anything it says, they have wasted valuable money. Also make sure they can include some personal opinions because they want their readers or watchers to trust them and their reviews!

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is a big thing to me! I’m such a perfectionists that if a bit of my photo is blurry or the lighting is slightly grainy I will go and take the photo again or if I don’t like a bit of my bio or caption I will go and change it. It just sticks in my head and I need to change it! Quality is so important to me I think you don’t need a really expensive camera for good quality, just a steady hand and good focus! Quality draws people to your account when they see something good they want to look at it! Original content is also so important! No one likes copies of hundreds of accounts! If you want to make a beauty account take your own photos with your own background and own camera! Don’t copy, it’s not fair to other people and don’t steal photos that other people have worked hard on because that’s not fair either.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The best thing about partnering with brands is that I get to get lots of new products and I get to share them all with my readers! Also they get their products promoted so it helps them and it helps me!
