Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Fernanda G @nanda_brissie

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a featured writer for an Instagram magazine. I cover the whole state I currently live in when it comes to events but also write articles on topics from all over the world.
I was born in Brazil and migrated to Australia 19 years ago. After studying Music Business I decided to get my qualification in Beauty Therapy as it has always been my passion. I am working as a Laser Technician at a medical practice and also write for an Instagram magazine, covering topics such as food, entertainment, beauty, etc..

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I absolutely love entertainment and beauty.
As I mentioned before these have been my main focuses for the last 15 years.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I simply wanted to shorten my name, so I used my childhood nick name “nanda” but also wanted to add my current location to it “Brissie” which is an australian slang for Brisbane, the main city in the state of Queensland.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I just use the default settings on the camera of my phone or the Insta filters. I like keeping it real and authentic. I have found that people are more drawn to it when it is not overly filtered or edited.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love medical posts related to cosmetics, one of my favorite dermatologists is actually a local doctor from Brisbane, the city I live in. His name is Dr. Davin Lin. I also love Kim Kardashian.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I really enjoy bringing attention to things I think people would love to know about. We are all searching for some type of information on Instagram and other social media platforms. So being one of the people who’s responsible for pointing others towards the right direction is definitely my favorite part about being out there. I also love the fact I get to discover brand new things and have the privilege to experience these things before anyone else.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

StarNgage is very new to me. I am extremely excited to explore it and see where it takes us.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Consistency in the contents is important to me. As well as nothing too overly produced, especially in the cosmetic area. Keeping it simple but well informed. It is about balance. At the end of the day, we all love things that look pretty and pleasant.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is much easier to connect with people when the content is clear and precise but by keeping original, it is like a breath of fresh air, much needed from time to time as Insta contents can start to look very much the same as we scroll down the feeds/stories.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The challenge of taking on something new is always exciting!
A whole new ground to play. And as a bonus, it is a great way for self-development and growth.
