Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Esther Hillary @esther_c_hillary

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

A stay home Singpore mother of 4. Doing part-time marketing. And now an influencer! From a noob housewife with only a Facebook account till now with an Instagram account of 7k over followers just in 2 years. Got inspired by my elder sister to create an ig account and starting just for fun browsing and following other instagtammers. Till I realised there’s really a lot nice photos to look at and a lot heartwarming people around.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post almost everything! Food, beauty, lifestyle, kids related so many more. Basically it just like sharing my daily activities with everyone and the products I used.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’m a christian and got baptised last year so that’s my birth name, surname and baptised name. I’m so thankful for all the blessings and Praise the Lord for all the amazing people around me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I only use Meitu app, I edit the light or add filters and add some frames etc. I feel that it will be so weird or fake if over edit the face features.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Of course my sister @seraphinagenesis ! I love to see her pretty photos that she posted. And foodie accounts. Some of them are @miss_apple_whatever @jiakpahbuay Always make me drool when I see their food photos. I have international friends too. 😅 @yunzcolorlife love her ootd post, always looking cool. @1caplessmom always so creative with plating her toddler meals. Very pretty! @cjskidsco sharing a lot of kids activities and recipes.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

From a plain jane and anti social person, it really took me a lot of courage to engage with people on Instagram and To be able to try out new products and share my experiences with everyone. I have a lot nice followers on Instagram who will leave nice comments and really make my day and some will dm me encouraging messages or even seek advice from me. I feel very grateful and honoured to be able to share my life stories with single moms who dm me. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to really see the world out there and supplying my needs. I can work from home and spend more time with my kids now.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

Favourite part is definitely the paid campaigns. Haha. I’m happy that I’m able to try out new products and knowing a lot of new brands and leaning a lot and gaining knowledge from the products which I don’t think I will even know the benefits unless i was being introduced. Interesting campaign was recently i had to post a video of me revealing my teeth under my mask. It was quite embarrassing. Lol.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Consumers want to have more information and wish to know what are the benefits. Packaging of the products also must be attractive enough.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

To be able to be featured and the interaction with brands and some brands are really good that I purchased their products too.
