1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
Hello! I’m Sock Han but you may address me as Dorelle. I’m in the oil and gas industry currently but would really love to explore into the influencer industry during my free time as I think this is a great opportunity to meet people from all walks of life as well as a great platform to explore and discover my real talent which I have yet to know!
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I find that I’m actually a very candid person and I actually share almost everything or ANYTHING, like ANYTHING that happens in my life every now and then. Most of the time, I portray enthusiasm in sharing the special findings like mouth-watering or really really fantastic food, cheap thrills or anything I’m happy about sharing!
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My instagram “Fsockhan”, ‘Sock Han’ is my name and ‘F’ stands for ‘Fong’, and that’s my surname 😉
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I don’t usually edit my photos honestly speaking, but I still use apps like 美颜相机 and if I don’t, actually my OPPO smartphone actually has the Beauty mode that works almost the same like your TR camera(really one best investment I made in my whole damn life HAHAHA).
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I think the first one that came to my mind at one glance on this question was BongQiuQiu. Partly because I’m really really REALLY candid(to beautify the fact that I’m actually SAMPAT which my friends who really knows me well calls me as) and she happens to share the same personality I have. Another reason is that I really love how she’s one of the most courageous blogger I’ve ever met because she really dares to share to the whole world about how she is as a person and she really gives full transparency of how she is, being herself whereas in today’s time, it’s a known fact that people may not be who they choose to portray themselves as behind the screens. I really have to give it to her on how she really persevered through her toughest times and really made the great effort to be happy around her loved ones despite some mishaps she met.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
I think they should dare me to do something that is out of the norms, I’d also like to take this chance to explore on how far I can take up challenges HAHA!
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favourite part about being an influencer is actually to meet more people, gain a greater exposure to the things I won’t usually get to and to really share all the good things about my life. Nevertheless, I’ve always think that entering into the influencer industry shapes you intellectually because you get to see the good and ugly side of things and make decisions on what you actually want to be.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I think it’s important to set robust goals based on the objectives/purpose for your campaign as this will help you filter the unnecessary and stay more focused on your own objectives and purposes. Nevertheless, it’s also essential to be very knowledgeable about your own work and be ready to answer any sorts of questions that anyone would be asking you.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
I always believe we have options in every decision we make. Being an upright influencer can get tricky at times, but I guess we must always put in mind that everything we do reflects ourselves as a person to everyone and we wouldn’t want any minor mistake at that one moment of folly to lead to unpleasant circumstances where people stop having faith and confidence in you. Having quality content also means that we take extra effort to ensure the choice of words is carefully selected before we say something or type anything on any online platforms. Being original also means creating your own unique branding for yourself as whatever you do, represent your name and your status.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
One thing I like best about partnering with brands is that I get to be exposed to the product/services, learn many things that I wouldn’t have know of if not for the partnership (like for eg. individual brands have their own unique selling point and product knowledge can be accessed further from the communication with the individual brandings)
