Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Dominica S Maris @domipon

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in Jakarta but have spent most of my life overseas, completed my Bachelor’s at age 19. I own over 10 Siberian Huskies and i actively participate at dog conformation shows.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion, travel, pets, places of interest

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

ponpon is my imaginary friend when i was a child, i am and was a true blue introvert and i liked keeping to myself. I created ponpon in my head, when i turned 11 i guess you sort of grow more rational by then and i could not pretend ponpon was there anymore hence the name domipon.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Afterlight and Mextures are great to create a certain kind of “feel” to pictures

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Peonylim i have been following her since i first joined instagram, christineadel who is my good friend does amazing conceptual photography that she regularly posts. dguttenfelder does amazing travel photography. I have so many to mention but those are the few on top of my head

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Post less selfies ? I think to engage people you have to show more dynamic sides of you and selfies sometimes don’t deliver that

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

That when i have an important message for a good cause i can reach more people. Being an influencer means your followers trusts your words it is important to maintain high integrity in things you feature in your gallery.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Of the utmost importance of course, influencers exist because they strive to deliver original and creative content. There is a visible effort that can be seen in each photograph.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love introducing new products to people, especially if the products are good and can bring some usefulness to the people who use them. In this day and age so many innovative products are made by people like you and me, sometimes they go unnoticed and lose all oppurtunity i think influencers are mediators for these entrepreneurs
