1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a 26 year old Miami native with a passion for Photography and visual media. I’m also a full-time nerd and pokemon enthusiast.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My usual instagram posts are portraits of my family, myself, and my clients. I’m into photography, film/TV, and the arts.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s my name and I take photos so…. derek casas + photos = derekcasasphoto

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Lightroom and photoshop. I rarely consider a photo straight out of the camera as a finished image. I like to make sure to import my work into Lightroom and then photoshop afterwards if needed before giving it the final “OK”.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Getting to share my view and perspective of things.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Showcase your product realistically and in a way that consumers can relate to/ see themselves.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and original content is crucial! It is what will set you apart from other companies and brands. Be unique and innovative not just in your product or service but in how you market it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Sharing things I like and being able to give people my recommendations on things I may not have been able to before.
