Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Debbie @Debsbeautyworld

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a college student who loves makeup and fashion. I am from upstate New York. Slowly, I am trying to build up my Instagram to thousands of followers. My goal is to create my own YouTube channel filled with makeup tutorials with the skills I’ve learned from watching other YouTubers.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am interested in makeup and fashion. I love seeing new trends as different seasons pass. It’s interesting to see styles come back from the 80’s and 90’s. I post mostly makeup inspiration on my Instagram page but will eventually post my own styles.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name came about when I started college under a year ago. I decided to call it debsbeautyworld because makeup is a place that has art and inspiration. It’s a work of its own. This one just happens to be mine.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use InstaEditor to edit my photos. It has enough filters and feature adjustments to make the picture perfect. My routine depends on the photo. However, my favorite features are the sharpness, contrast, and filters.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love Shaanxo’s Instagram, Amrezy, Nikkitutorials, and slave2beauty. They have a lot of great makeup ideas and have amazing quality photos.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I believe that my fellow Instagrammers need to try to be bold. Makeup doesn’t have any rules so being creative is important. Going out of the box can go a long way when trying to come up with new makeup looks.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part is seeing that people are actually enjoying the content. I love knowing that I have had an impact on somebody’s day or have inspired them in some way. It’s an honor to be part of somebody’s day when you don’t even really know them. If I could know all of my followers, I would be a winner.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My top tip for sure would be to stay original. Many ideas have already been done. There are so many things to try out. People like to see variety and knew things. Tarte does a really nice job in that department. I maintain authenticity by giving my followers variety with different makeup looks from several different people. I have come up with my own hashtag so people have a chance to be noticed. Being recognized is a big part of Instagram. Whenever my hashtag is used, I double-tap that photo.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality of photos and original content is the key to a successful page. Nobody wants to see blurry photos or things that have been seen various times. My advice would be to look at your photos through the lens of another person. Try to be someone else looking at your page. I would also suggest asking for somebody’s honest opinions if you’re not sure.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

My favorite part about partnering up with brands is being able to let others know about great products. If I like a brand, I want others to know about it. It’s an amazing feeling to know that you’re helping the company and your followers.
