Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Danni @dansdestinations

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am currently in grade 11, so I’m all about sports, studying and hanging out and travelling all over. I come from a small town in South Africa but I have big city dreams. I wish to travel all around and write and promote.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mostly post stuff about travel, food, fashion and photography.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted it to be catchy, something that people would remember and that it would be easy to find.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I don’t edit my photos. I just crop them on instagram and I will sometimes fix the lighting with VSCO.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@theblondeabroad is the person who I really aspire to be like. Not only does she travel but she also writes and is able to partner with companies to make campaigns. I really like her photos and the cool stuff she does.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just be yourself. Go out and do cool things and take good photos. Do things that make yourself feel alive and make you feel good. Explore and share your stories to all your followers. Tell stories through your photos.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I feel like my instagram page has purpose.. I feel like it is entertaining and it is interesting for people to see. It’s entertaining. I want people to like what they see. And I like being able to entertain people with my stories and photos.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Make things interesting. Involve the public. Make them feel as though they are a part of the project. Do interesting things where everyone can get involved and everyone is informed of.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

All photos must be your own! Avoid plagiarism and copying others. Your campaign/product promotion should only consist of photos of you. This shows how engaged and interested you are in the project given and this shows others that it is worthwhile.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to promote and show people about products and inform others. I personally know how hard it is to get people to notice my instagram page so I would really like to assist companies and brands to gain the attention of the public and also to inform the public about a brand which they probably have not heard of. Being able to help the brand and help the customer at the same time is a really good feeling.
