Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Cristina @cjauset

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am 25 years old and come from Lleida, Spain. I studied Biomedical Sciences as I was always curious to understand better how the human body functions. Four years ago, I moved to the UK to continue my education at the University of Cambridge. Currently, I am undertaking a PhD studying breast cancer progression.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love traveling, surfing, yoga and photography. When I lived in Spain I was modeling for stock companies and with several photographers to feature products or just have fun. I post lifestyle pictures that shows my happiest moments and beautiful places where I have the chance to travel to.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram username is the first initial of my name and my surname. My surname is not common at all, so I’ve always felt it was a good way to set an identity!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Lightroom in my computer when I shoot in raw and less professional programs such as VSCO when I shot in jpg or in my phone camera.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love following travel and adventure photographers that inspire me and, most importantly, makes me feel warm and happy. Some of these are @sjanaelise @parisverra @rusticbones and @alanarblanchard

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Getting the opportunity to interact with people I don’t know to give advice or shoot with and help them.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I just joined StarNgage so I didn’t have the chance to complete any yet. However, I joined many as there were lots of my interest, including clothing products such as swimsuits and beautiful jewelry and health lifestyle products like tea!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think it’s important to set clear guidelines for influencers collaborating with the brands. Brands should keep the content constant and have their own personality. This is achieved by choosing influencers of similar profile or doing the picture editing themselves to create a uniform style.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Get outside, contact professionals and have fun while creating content. If you have fun while taking pictures, you’ll transmit that energy into whoever will see the picture. For me it helps going to new places if I have the time and means and using it as an excuse to travel or get into a new adventure.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Getting to know their products and becoming the face of them. I love when a brand philosophy really reflects my own!
