1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I’m born and raised in Colorado and I still call this place my home today. Currently I’m a full time university student pursuing a business degree in information management. If I have free time over the weekend, I love to hiking with my friends or alone. If you ever have the chance to visit Colorado, you will fall in love with the Rocky Mountains! Otherwise, I’m normally at home or school doing the same thing every college student does.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
Travel, beauty, and food. It varies other days too. If I feel like posting a random picture of a car or a picture of flowers, I will do that.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My Instagram is @foreverconniee because I will forever be myself. Pretty obvious, right? I just added an extra “e” because it was available.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
Hands down VSCO! My number tip when it comes to editing photos is to NEVER over filter them. I know some filters can be really cool, but it looks unprofessional if you apply too much. Think of the filters as a way to enhance the photo colors instead of distorting it. Unless if you have a color theme, then it’d be okay. My favorite filters on VSCO is A5, C1, HB1, M6, S3. I like to apply multiple filters on one photo. For example, I would apply M6 (adjust to a 3 or 4), then I’d save it. And then open it again and apply a second filter (like A5).
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
That’s a hard question, because there’s so many Instagrammers I really like. I follow @earthpix which features spectacular travel photos across the globe. I like how they credit the photographers and tag the location of the photo. I find myself looking back at this page for travel ideas.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
My homemade bath bombs! I sell them for $2 each and $4 for customized ones. All orders come with a personal note and gift from me. There’s no affiliations, so I will be launching my own website soon. If you’re interested, you can contact me through my Instagram or email ([email protected])
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
I love how I can make a person’s day by liking or commenting on their photos. It’s a small gesture but it can really lighten up someone’s mood.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
If you’re selling something that a bunch of other brands are promoting (weight loss, teeth whitening, hair products, apparels, etc.), try to offer special promotional campaigns that are different. The best way to attract and maintain authenticity is to listen to your customers. If the customers are curious about your products, maybe offer them some samples. If your customer provides feedback, be sure to respond. Instead of just promoting, try engage.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Put your perspectives into your own work. If you post a picture a popular destination, try to caption something that most people haven’t heard of. You can write about your personal experience. The key to creating original content is to build connection between you and your readers, add your own personality, and make your posts relatable.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
-Trying out new products! If I like the product, I will introduce it to other people – which is even better. It’s a win-win for everyone.
