1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

the manicsmusic IG page is for my music project. We are one of San Francisco’s premiere DJ duo’s and live electronic acts. Additionally we run popgang records and I work as a marketing manager for MEZZANINE, one of SF’s premiere clubs/venues. I’m from southern California but have lived in SF for 10 years. We travel for gigs all the time too.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

our music project is called MANICS so the page is names after that.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

we keep it simple. the occasional color correction in IG or use boomerang/grid. If we have professional photos that’s a whole other bag of worms since we use lightroom/photoshop for those.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

sharing our unique perspective on products and events

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

make sure your influencers line up with your product. A few thousand followers in your correct demographic needs are worth more than a million on an account that’s too far removed from your target.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

original content > memes/reposts all day.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

We love teaming up with brands that our followers should know about, but probably don’t. Free stuff and money is always nice, but if the post is also helping us retain engagement because its a product/brand our followers align with, that’s almost worth more to us.
