Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Chong Chee Aun @Benny_Aun

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi and hello there , Im Benny from Malaysia , Kedah ( but mostly I spend my childhood and life lesson at beautiful island of Malaysia , Langkawi Island ) .

Im Chinese mix with Thai blood and currently live at Singapore for 5 years already . I used to be extreme sport athlete before , where my life of adveturous begin . ” Dream but don’t sleep ” , this is what my couch tell me before .

I always like to push myself to the limit , if fall down try to get a backup or stand up again , don’t give up . And always learn something new .

Try to be different than other peoples and be creative , creative is part of element in life .

Don’t compare each other , and always be humble no matter where we are and do .

And also while we still alive , the thing we learn is never finish .

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Videography , Photography , Extreme Sport/Sport , Art and Adventure .

I totally can’t travel without my Go Pro , it suit me with all terrain or places I go . And also I like extreme sport so it really suit me and of course underwater as well . And Go Pro have special features that I can do recording and take picture at the same time so for sure that I won’t missed every single moments that I have at that time .

After that , I have plenty of photos and videos to decided which one I feel suitable to upload at Instagram .

I also upload a short video as a trailer or sneak peek at Instagram to tell my follower that my upcoming video will be upload at YouTube soon .

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Simple ,

My Instagram , my account , my profile , my post , my life , all real story and of all about me . So is me , Benny Aun .

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Snapseed , Effectshop , Lens Flare , Polar , Pixelmator and Enlight .

The way I editing photo not just using one app only for one photo , I always use multiply app to edit to make sure I get the better result with different look or different result .

Edit the photo that I want and save that photo , after that edit again the photo I save just now and open with different app . Easy to say , try or be creative .

And I always finalized my photo with Lens Flare app , which can let me save my photo into my phone and upload with high quality .

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@m_shinoda from @linkinpark band . He is vocalist , songwriter , producer , mixer , and also fine artist .

What he inspires me the most is his creativity , especially his art and video making . He not so good in rapping but he able to find something to cover it up with his creativity way .

Also his simple and cool fashion style also influence me .

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

The first of you .

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Share what I know , motivate what I do , advise what I been through , inspiring what I achieves .

At the same time , I also can learn something new from other people as well . Is part of life circle chain .

We are never perfect .

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

To maintain is very important , and some support as well .

People follow me , for sure they wanna know what the update too .

Always try and do at different place no matter how we running , promo and test . Never try never know the result , at least we can know the progress . Is all about work hard too .

Let the people try so people can know about it the real stuff and will spread the review and rate too .

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Once again , I will say try to be creative , be true , be original . And mostly people always like original and quality .

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Learn something new , meet new people , and is a opportunity to try something new .

Create the content and bonding , not just for myself but for everybody .
