Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Brogan Kirkby-Bott @broganrosee

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Brogan and I’m a full time student Portsmouth/Worthing based. Alongside my studies I contribute to the Fashion and Beauty feature in the Universities newspaper and of course manage my blog broganrose.co.uk – it includes all things beauty, fashion and lifestyle.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Beauty, fashion, lifestyle and literature are my main topics of interest. I post according to what I enjoy, how I’m feeling and discoveries. I could have spent the day in a coffee shop with a book or preparing for upcoming blog posts and decided to post a photo of my surroundings (including the coffee), I may have spent the day shopping and want to show my followers what I have been buying.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is basic, just my first and middle name – Brogan Rose. I always joke that social media sites never cater for those with ridiculously long names and I am one of those people. Broganrosee was just simple and memorable.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I adore using Facetune to help brighten and sharpen images, then I will use Afterlight if I need a cute border or filter. Lastly I will use Instagram to brighten my images further and add a touch of saturation.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Lydia Elise Millen will always be a favourite of mine purely because she is just so down to earth and has worked so incredibly hard to get where she is. Her Instagram feed is so aesthetically pleasing – everything is so bright and fresh.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Facetune, its a life saver when adding a bit of life to images!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to share my experiences of Instagram with others. I’ve had it for a good few years now and will always laugh at how my account started off, valencia filter on every post and about 37437584 pictures of the same lipstick. Its fun being creative and sharing day-to-day activities with others through social media.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be unique and trust those who you wish to work with. So many of us are bursting at the seams with ideas, this is one of best ways to maintain authenticity as we all love to ensure ideas are our own and will work hand in hand with brands.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Know what is expected of you and your content, keeping in mind that your uniqueness as an influencer is also a key quality in content.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to test and use products from an influencers perspective is so important a we are the one who are expected to know those who will interested in the brands. There is nothing more exciting than being able to shout to the world how incredible partnering with a specific brand is and being able to build a rapport.
