Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Azra Spahic @azraspahicc

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi, I’m Azra Spahic and I’m from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I finished high school this year and got into Med School in Sarajevo, where I’ll be living from now on. I’m one of the top students. The other side of me is love for fashion, books and movies. I spend most of my free time on Instagram looking for inspiration and new trends that I like. I also play piano and draw (sometimes).

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My first topic is fashion, because I’m so in love with clothes and trends and I find pleasure in promoting it in my own way. I also love interesting food, outdoor photography and all kinds of arts, because I’m an artist myself. On my instagram you’ll mostly find pictures of food, details that I’m wearing, clothes, sometimes a quote that I like or find very inspirational. But I’m open to consider other options too.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted it to sound very professional, and I tried azraspahic, but someone already took it (shocking). So I tried to find something good and professional that still has my name, so I just added another ‘c’ and viola.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO in all my photos, it is the best app for editing. It has amazing filters and other adjustment, I’m simply in love with it. Filter that I use is HB2 at the moment, I used HB1 earlier. I put it on 12 and adjust it to match my feed. Then I sharpen it on Airbrush, maybe whiten a little bit. Sometimes I use Snapseed too, to add brightness or contrast on some parts of the picture. I love that feature on Snapseed.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I don’t have any specific Instagrammer that I like, I usually go on Explore and try to find inspiration on different kinds of accounts. Mostly fashion ones.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Interaction with followers. There are so many good and cool people out there, that are really supportive and nice. Even when I’m sad, I go through comments and answer everyone, and it makes me happy. Sometimes there are mean people, but they’re one in a hundred, so don’t bother.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love the idea of connecting with brands, being able to put my own mark on their products. It’s a cool thing when you know that you reached out to people and that they’ll buy something just because you showed it to them. And free stuff isn’t bad either.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Reach out to big crowds, and I would always recommend Instagram for that. Because, it’s the most popular social network at the moment, and the more influencers you connect, more people will reach you. They don’t have to buy anything at first, but they will tell a friend, and they will spread the word. That is the most important first step. Spreading the word. The rest will come naturally.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Well, I’ll just give an example. We all scrolled the explore once at least, and some picture came up with funny content. You liked it and moved on. After few seconds it came again from different account. Little less funny, but okay. Third time it isn’t funny, and if it comes the fourth – you hate it. So, it’s the same with other pictures. Don’t copy, nobody likes that.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the idea of sharing their products with my followers and in my own way. It also makes you feel important and good, that someone chose YOU to represent them. Then you’ll try to do your best to make it amazing and authentic. At least that’s how I feel.
