Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Avraham Cohen-Nehemia @backpacker.life

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am 26 years old, originally from Israel. After 5 years of service in the Israeli army I resigned and went on a big traveling trip that lasted a year my whole perspective on the world and life has changed and I also discovered my passion for photography. Since then I am looking for ways to sponsor my travelings so I can do what really makes me happy – travelling and photography. I live at the moment in New Zealand with my girlfriend, we have a campervan and we travel in any time we are able.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

The subjects I post the most about are: Nature, travelling, backpacking, hiking, landscapes, exotic natural phenomenons and generally trying to show that our world is worth seeing because it is simply awesome.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Naturally I wanted to have a name other people with the love for travelling can relate to. Also, since I am not a tourist like traveler I decided to use the “backpacker.life”, to show all the things real backpackers see and experience.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mainly use Lightroom because it is simple but amazing software and after I copy my pictures to my phone I do some last touches on Instagram itself.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Travis Barker and Moonmountainman. I an getting most of my aspiration from them because they are very successful and prove my dream is possible.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Leave their comfort zone and go explore the world.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love it when I get a positive feedback from my followers, it’s the thing that keeps me going, they can be really supportive.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I use only my own photos. I feel like publishing pictures of other people on your own page is fake success.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Try to get pictures from places less traveled and known yet still gorgeous, and again, publish only pictures you took.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The possibility to expand and be known to more people. The fact that I will get paid for the thing I like to do the most and also because it would be easier to spread my passion to other people.
